Jamie Moffat is facing a string of firearms and intimidation charges after Oxley police raided a Yarmouth Parade property in Oxley Vale on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old appeared in Tamworth Local Court via video link from the police station cells, after he was denied bail by police.
Legal Aid solicitor Alex Floyd lodged a release application, which was granted with a raft of conditions by magistrate Julie Soars.

Moffat's facing three counts of intimidation; armed with intent to commit an indictable offence; handle or use a firearm under the influence of alcohol or drugs; possessing an unregistered pistol; possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit; possessing an unauthorised pistol; not keeping a firearm safely; and receiving a prohibited weapon without holding a permit for it.
As part of his bail, Moffat must live at a Moore Creek address; and must not leave the home between 10pm and 4am, as part of an overnight curfew.
He must not commit any offences; present to the door for bail compliance checks; and has been ordered to stay away from and not contact any prosecution witness, except one person named in court documents.
The case will return to court at the end of the month where Moffat has been ordered to enter pleas.
Oxley police said they seized a replica gel blaster pistol - which is classified as a firearm - during the raid by Oxley detectives and the Proactive Crime Team.
"Replica pistols look like a firearm, and that is why they attract the same charges and penalties," Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy said.
"This replica firearm was seized as a result of an ongoing investigation, and is a replica firearm that is no longer on the street, or in the wrong hands."
Police allege the charges relate to a confrontation on Monday night in Yarmouth Parade.
About 10.30pm, police allege a man and two friends were outside the home when they were allegedly threatened by a man armed with a firearm. He left the scene.
Moffat was arrested at a building site in Mulconda Close on Tuesday morning, before a search warrant was used to raid the Oxley Vale property.
Police said the man's firearms licence was also suspended as part of the investigation.
