The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had his case called in Tamworth Local Court earlier this week.
He is set to stand trial in the district court after he denied the driving offences levelled against him by the independent prosecuting authority for NSW, the DPP.
The man's defence solicitor and DPP prosecutor Max Dixon were in court for the mention, and the court heard the matter was ready to proceed to the next stage.

The accused will face an arraignment hearing in the district court later this year, where he will formally enter pleas to the charges.
Magistrate Erin Kennedy committed the case to Tamworth District Court for trial, court documents show.
The police case is that the accused was behind the wheel of a four-wheel-drive towing a campervan on Thunderbolts Way, near Nowendoc, when it crashed into an oncoming sedan on the afternoon of September 26, last year.
The man has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death.
The allegations relate to the deaths of a young girl, who was a backseat passenger in the four-wheel-drive, and a woman aged in her 70s, who was driving the sedan travelling in the opposite direction and was the only occupant.
Both died from critical injuries sustained in the crash, about an hour outside of Tamworth.
Two other charges are listed as back-up offences by the DPP, while four allegations have been listed as related.
Some details of the case cannot be reported for legal reasons.
The matter has been previously described by solicitors involved as a "tragedy of the highest proportion".
The accused has been on bail since his arrest in the days after the crash. His bail has been continued.
The case will return to court in August.
