But, they'll need a leg-up to get there.
The NSW Koori Knockout is one of the biggest Indigenous gatherings in Australia and until now, Tamworth players have had to squeeze onto other teams in the district in the hopes they'd see the field.
Some passionate parents have started the Deadly Dhagaans Indigenous Corporation, with the goal of entering a side in the games.
Dhagaan means 'brother' in Gamilaraay and board member Luke Shepherd said he hopes being a part of the games will give local kids the exposure they need.
"For most of the boys, rugby league is their passion; they all live and breathe rugby league," he said.
"Having a chance to play in the knockout is a great way to display their talents and possibly get noticed."
Mr Shepherd said until now players were handpicked by teams.

"As far as I'm aware this is the first time we'll have a Tamworth-based team in the knockout," he said.
"Usually the other teams supply jerseys and equipment, but it's up to the players and their parents to get them to the training sessions and down to the competition itself.
"We put out for sponsorship in the local community, but due to the pandemic it's been a tough time for everyone, so we thought we would put together a GoFundMe."
This year the games will be held at the South Coast, hosted by the Black Cockatoos, on the October long weekend.
