The man cannot be named for legal reasons but appeared in person in Tamworth Local Court when his case was called.
He had been facing 13 charges, including two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death.
Police allege he caused a double fatal crash on the Thunderbolts Way, near Nowendoc, on September 26 last year.

The police case is the man was driving a four-wheel-drive and towing a campervan home from holidays with his family when he allegedly crossed the centre line about an hour outside Tamworth and slammed into an oncoming car.
A young girl, who was a backseat passenger in the four-wheel-drive, was seriously hurt in the crash and died soon after. A woman in her 70s, who was driving the oncoming sedan, also died at the scene.
A family member of the elderly woman who was killed was in court to watch the proceedings.
DPP solicitor Max Dickson told the court there was a new signed charge certificate indicating five of the charges had been withdrawn.
The two dangerous driving occasioning death charges - relating to the young girl and the older woman - are the only two that the prosecution has certified and confirmed they will proceed with. The man has not been required to enter pleas.
Six of the charges including negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm are now listed as back-up offences by the DPP.
Magistrate Julie Soars said lawyers from both the prosecution and defence needed to meet and discuss the issues in the matter before it could progress.
"[It's] now adjourned for case conference," she said.
Ms Soars set down a new date for the matter to go back to court after the case conference, which is scheduled for early June.
Ms Soars explained to the accused the legal processes related to the case conference, and what would occur in June.
"Bail to continue," Ms Soars said.
The man will front court again in late June.
