A 49-year-old man suffered a fractured eye socket in the targeted attack when the gang of 10 or so stormed the home near Quirindi.
The home invasion happened on the night of July 1, last year, at a Lowes Creek Road house at Quipolly.
The manhunt for the intruders has been ongoing since.

Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy told the Leader it was not random, the attack was targeted, and there had been a breakthrough in the case.
"Credible information has come to light in the investigation," he said on Thursday.
"We are following a number of leads and inquiries are continuing."
During the attack, the offenders also turned on two occupants - aged 20 and 25 - inside, but neither were hospitalised.
The group ransacked the home before assaulting a second man and leaving the property.
Emergency services responded and treated the first man for serious head and facial injuries.
He was taken to Tamworth hospital for treatment, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle suffering a significant brain injury.
New evidence has come to light in the manhunt for the intruders, who were last seen fleeing the property in a white four-wheel-drive utility.
Police have been told the gang had their faces covered with face masks printed with skull and/or teeth print, and dark-coloured clothing.
"We know that there is people in the Tamworth and Quirindi areas who have knowledge of those responsible and police are giving them the opportunity to come forward now and assist investigators," Detective Darcy said.
"But if they don't, then they will be investigated for being accessories to the crime, or hindering the police investigation."
Anyone with information on the offenders, or the attack, is urged to contact Oxley police on 6768 2999.
