THREE children are in custody at Tamworth Police Station after more break and enters across the city overnight.

Police captured the trio in Cole Road in the early hours of Monday after they were tracked by the police dog unit.
Oxley Detective Inspector Jason Darcy told the Leader the trio were aged 12 and 14 years old and had not been charged, but were assisting with police inquiries.
It comes after investigations into aggravated break and enters overnight including in Dowell Avenue in East Tamworth, and nearby in North Street.

"The Police Dog Unit was recalled after further break and enters in North Street," Detective Darcy said.
"Police were out patrolling, and following investigations, a police pursuit was initiated in Jewry Street."
The police dog, Alpha, was used to track the suspects, before pouncing about 3.40am in Coledale.
The trio were taken into custody and have not been charged, police confirmed.
Detective Darcy said the arrests were on top of two others on Friday. Both men remain in custody to front Tamworth Local Court on a raft of property charges.
"Police are continuing to make inroads in investigations, but again on the weekend we saw a number of break-and-enter offences and stolen cars in Tamworth," he said.
"We have additional staff on, and as a result we have seen the arrest of these three young people on Monday morning.
"Operation Southbreak continues and investigations are ongoing."
