Tamworth Regional Council's almost half-a-million dollar plan to transform the century-old Paradise pump station into Paradise Park is beginning to take shape on King George V Avenue.
The park is just a month - maybe two - away from opening up for local families to explore.

"The contractor is due to be finished on site in February or March, and this is when it it will be available to the public," a council spokeswoman told the Leader.
This first stage of construction covers the build of the pergola - which has taken shape at the site - along with a park bench and landscaping.
The park is being built at the start of King George V Avenue, so people visiting the heritage-listed tourist destination for a walk or drive can make the most of it.
The council spokeswoman said work on the space had so far gone "very well".
"The build is running on time, if not in front of schedule," she said.
"The park will obviously not be open over the Christmas and school holiday break, but we do see it as being a great attraction into the future once complete."
Council previously revealed it had spent about 18 months considering and workshopping ideas about how to best beautify and use the space, before settling on a public park.
