A MAN has been taken to hospital after a car and motorbike crashed on Monday afternoon.

The man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was riding a motorbike when it collided with a car on a main road in Armidale.
Ambulance paramedics rushed to the scene just after 1:30pm, to reports the bike and car had crashed on Uralla Street, near New England Girls School on the edge of town.
The motorbike rider was treated for leg injuries, and was taken to Armidale hospital in a stable condition.
It is understood he was the only person injured when the car and motorbike crashed.

Traffic on Uralla Road was affected in both directions for about half an hour after the incident, as emergency services helped the patient and the crash site was cleared.
Traffic returned to normal just before 2pm, according to updates from Live Traffic NSW.
City motorists in Tamworth were impacted after a crash on Sunday night, when a car rolled at a busy intersection.
Ambulance paramedics responded to emergency calls for help just after 6:30pm, to reports of a single car crash at the roundabout where Scott Road and Goonoo Goonoo Road meet.
The car had rolled onto its roof in the crash.
It is understood there were three people involved in the incident, but no one was badly hurt and no one was taken to hospital for treatment.
Traffic on Goonoo Goonoo Road and Scott Road was affected, with southbound lanes closed for some time as drivers in northbound lanes faced delays.
The crash site was cleared and flows had returned to normal by about 8:30pm.
