It comes less than a fortnight after the council knocked back a request to waive fees for an state netball carnival because estimates showed it wasn't going to bring $1 million to the local economy.
The council gave the netball association a 40 per cent discount on its carnival fees which equalled a $3080 reprieve.

However, a report has recommended councillors waive all fees, at this week's meeting, for a one-off match between a touring England over-60's cricket team and Tamworth's veterans side in November.
If the motion is carried, the council will also put on a civic reception and breakfast for the English side at the the Oxley Lookout on the morning of the game.
It has also been proposed the council hires two additional marquees for the match at Number One Oval because the current change rooms "do not comfortably house a full sporting team and associated playing equipment".
"It is recommended that $2,200 will be allocated from the general manager's contingency fund to cover the cost of the civic reception breakfast catering ($1,300) and for the hire of the two marquees ($900) for temporary change rooms," the report to councillors said.
"In addition, a total of $808 (in waived fees and minor operational expenses) will be absorbed in the sport and recreation operational budget."
Next month, the Tamworth Netball Association will host the state masters comp in town for the first time.
The association requested a full fee waiver on its court hire bill for the weekend which topped more than $7000.
The report to council estimated it would inject $178,000 into the local economy. It is not clear how much the veteran's cricket much will bring to the economy.
