Student Engineer (Regional Services - Design and Construction)
“I moved to Tamworth at the age of 12 from the Philippines.
“I am currently a third year engineering student, undertaking work placement with Tamworth Regional Council.
“I hope to one day use my engineering career as a tool to facilitate my aspirations to become an advocate for women’s rights in Australia and beyond.
“I chose to move back to Tamworth to be closer to family and to give back to the community, for this town has given not only myself but my family some life changing opportunities.
I joined the queen quest to be around genuine and like-minded women and to get to know my town and the festival a little bit better. It is also very rewarding to be able to represent the council through the Queen Quest.

“I grew up listening to country music from my Dad, such as The Eagles and John Denver and have always enjoyed the festival for the music it brings.
“I especially like to watch the little kids starting their music journey as they busk around Peel Street.
“This year I hope to take advantage of my participation with the Queen Quest and learn as much as I can about the TCMF.”
