“My name is Paris Knox, age 19 and is sponsored by Opportunity Hub .
I am a proud Gomeroi woman who was born and raised in Tamworth. My current occupation is working for the University of Newcastle at the Gomeroi gaaynggal Centre as the Indigenous Trainee.
“I finished High School in 2017 and was Vice Captain of Tamworth High.
“I have represented my Country, Culture and State in Oztag and have recently started to referee in National Tournaments.
“Other than playing Oztag, I also enjoy participating in cultural workshops, volunteering at Bounce back and attending community events such as Anti-Bullying marches and NAIDOC week.
“I have joined the Queen Quest to experience the Country Music Festival from a different point of view and face challenges that are out of my comfort zone.
Coming from a family who loves Country Music, the Country Music Festival has been a tradition in my family.

“I also joined the Queen Quest to be a role model within my community and hope to empower and be an inspiration to our younger woman of our community so all woman can grow as individuals and together as a community for a brighter future.
“Coming from a family who loves Country Music, the Country Music Festival has been a tradition in my family.
“For over 30 years family members of mine and myself have busked or in Peel Street or performed in the Aboriginal Showcase.
“The one thing I absolutely love about the Country Music Festival is it is a time where our community comes together as a whole to not only celebrate Country music but to experience many other performances and cultures from all over the world.”
