A Guyra woman will face court after allegedly biting a man and assaulting several police officers while drunk.
The incident took place in the Coles Armidale car park on Thursday, September 27.
The woman had allegedly been driving in a dangerous manner.
When she stopped the vehicle, a man approached her to complain, a police spokesperson said.
Police allege she then grabbed him by the arm, pulled his hand into the window and bit it.
The man pulled away and the woman fled.
The police stopped her a short distance away and conducted a roadside breath test.
The woman refused to participate in a further breath test and the situation deteriorated, police said – to the point where she resisted the officers in the execution of their duty and assaulted one.
The woman was arrested and taken to the police station.
There, she was charged with mid-range drink-driving, resisting arrest, assaulting police and assaulting a member of the public.
