A 15 year old boy will face children's court after being charged with a number of offences by officers as part of Operation Western Mongoose.

Operation Western Mongoose was established last month, to investigate property offences including, the theft of vehicles during break-ins from homes in Oxley Police District.
On Sunday May 1, police were patrolling the South Tamworth area about 6.40am when they located an allegedly stolen Kia Sorento parked outside a home on Hillvue Road.
Following inquiries, three teens two boys aged 14 and 15 and a 14-year-old girl were arrested at a nearby home.

They were taken to Tamworth Police Station where the younger boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to appear at a childrens court on Monday.
The older boy and girl will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
In a separate incident, further charges have been laid following investigations into a number of recent property-related offences.
On Wednesday April 20, police arrested a 15-year-old boy - who was wanted on outstanding warrants - at Tamworth Train Station.
The warrants were executed and the teen remains before the courts.

The boy is due to appear in childrens court on Monday, May 2.
