The Heritage Festival in Tamworth came to a great ending on Sunday with the West Tamworth Cemetery Walk, conducted by the Tamworth Historical Society.

With 120 people in attendance in lovely weather, the walk was conducted by Society members Rod Hobbs and Mike Cashman.
At their headstone burial sites, it looked at a range of 24 individuals who had contributed in diverse ways to our Tamworth community.

These headstones covered a period from 1845 to 1970, with brief biographies given for George Fielder, Charles Zartmann, Ida Cohen, Andrew Telfer, James Dwyer, Thomas Burke, Margaret McIntyre, John Crawford, Benjamin Bridge, Oliver Upjohn, T.J.Treloar, Frank Chaffey, Vincent Guy Kable, James Robson, William Porter, Joshua Dowe, Artur Dewhurst, William Silver, James Bryant, Thomas/Annie King, Charlie Ison, C.J.Britten, Sarah Willis & James Bailey.
