Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with inquiries after a stolen vehicle was used to run down a police officer at Moree.

About 11.30am on Tuesday, officers from the Moree Proactive Crime Team were conducting unrelated inquiries at a motel on Frome Street, when they observed a 1996 VS silver Holden Commodore nearby.
It will be alleged as officers approached the vehicle it accelerated from the scene and collided with a 38-year-old male senior constable, before driving east bound along Adelaide Street.

The officer was taken to Moree District Hospital with minor injuries. He was released later that same day.
About 12.30pm, the vehicle was involved in a crash with a truck at the intersection of Newell Highway and Alice Street, Moree.
The occupant of the vehicle ran from the scene without exchanging particulars with the truck driver, who was uninjured.
Officers attended and seized the Commodore, which will undergo forensic examination.
Detectives from New England Police District commenced an investigation into the incidents.
Initial inquiries have led police to believe that the vehicle was stolen from a home along the Gwyder Highway, Little Plain, 120km east of Moree, about 6am that morning.
As investigations continue, detectives have released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.
The first male is described as being of Caucasian appearance, medium build, with olive skin, aged in his 20's, short dark hair and has tattoos on his right arm. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper with the word "Jeep" across the chest and light-coloured pants.
The second male is described as Caucasian appearance, medium build, aged in his 20's, with dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper and dark coloured pants.
Both men were wearing light coloured baseball caps and dark coloured shoes.
Anyone who may have information about the men, or witnessed the incidents including and available dashcam footage, are urged to contact either Moree Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
