Police have appealed to the public for help in the search for a woman missing from the Tamworth region.
Mona Haines was last seen in the Oxley Highway at Carroll, 20 kilometres east of Gunnedah between 3pm and 4pm on Friday August 27.
The 41-year-old is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 160cm tall, of thin build, with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Officers from the Oxley Police District were notified by her family that she was missing at about 2.50pm on Friday and started an investigation into her whereabouts.
Her family and police hold concerns for Mona's welfare due to a medical condition.
It is also out of character for Mona to be away from her family for this length of time, according to Oxley police.
It's not known what she was wearing at the time she went missing.
