AFTER two flood watches were called off yesterday, Tamworth's Peel River has peaked at 3.12 metres in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A minor flood warning is current for the river which is expected to remain around the same level.
Residents are reminded in life-threatening emergencies to call Triple Zero immediately, if people require rescue or assistance to evacuate in an emergency contact NSW SES on 132 500.
The Bureau of Meteorology reminds the public to stay out of rising water and seek refuge in the highest possible place, prevent damage to vehicles by moving them under cover and away from flood areas and avoid being swept away.
