AN EXTENSIVE police search has sadly located the body of a missing man Glenn Warren in the Namoi River.

The 51-year-old was last seen leaving a tourist village on Cooma Road about 6:30pm on Friday, August 13.
After several search efforts across the area, officers from Western Region Police Rescue found the body of a man in the Namoi River about 1:30pm on Monday.
The body has been formally identified as Mr Warren.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Grave concerns had been held for the man after Oxley Police District officers, police divers, the dog squad and aerial support had combed the local area and waterways with no luck last week.
The NSW Rural Fire Service, Volunteer Rescue Association and State Emergency Service were also involved in the search efforts.
