Summers Westdale Supermarket and Oxley Vale Superette owner Nick Summers is just one of a number of Tamworthians who have offered to help those financially impacted by COVID-19 shutdowns.
When Mr Summers put a call out on social media on Thursday searching for five local families who could do with the helping hand, he was inundated with responses.
This week, the local business will provide a number of families with over $200 worth of groceries delivered to their door, free of cost.
"The biggest thing is I always believe there's someone else out there doing it tougher than what I am," Mr Summers said.
"I just feel it's a time where I'm in a position where I can help somebody else, and I think it's a great time to do that.
"With the current lockdowns people are out of jobs or their current workplace is closed so they've got no income or limited income so we would just like to give back."

Local businesses Peel Valley Milk and Crust and Cream Bakery have also come on board donating milk and bread for the hampers, while ZOOOM Delivery Tamworth will be dropping off the groceries.
Items include meat, cereal, pasta, pasta sauce and every day items.
"It's going to be very hard to pick just five, there's a lot of people out there doing it so tough and I'd love to help more," Mr Summers added.
"It's all anonymous, it's all the behind the scenes, nobody is going to see it and they're not going to know who's nominated them and it's going to come from us, ZOOOM will drop it off to their door with a COVID-safe contactless drop off."
The supermarket will also be making an additional donation to the Hirst family in Manilla, whose home was extensively damaged during a devastating house fire.
And, as one business rallies behind those in need, another is continuing to bring people together with its generosity.
Lockdowns have not brought the Tamworth United Sikhs Guru Nanak Mission's free community kitchen to halt, with a massive food delivery day in the works on Sunday.
The mission has encouraged the community to "check your surroundings, if anyone cannot cook, is struggling with a disability or cannot visit shopping centres in this difficult time please let them and us know".
Food deliveries will commence at 12pm Sunday, and food orders must be made before 9pm Saturday by messaging the Guru Nanak Mission Tamworth Facebook page.
