A man will face Tamworth court today after a random police stop last month allegedly turned up drugs and 43 throwing knives.

On Friday, June 4, officers attached to Tamworth Highway Patrol stopped a white ute on Manilla Road, Oxley Vale, for a random roadside test.
The driver, a 39-year-old man, allegedly returned a positive result for cannabis.
A further search of the vehicle allegedly located prescription medicine bottles, some of which contained cannabis.
Police will claim they found a separate resealable bag allegedly containing 5.8g of cannabis and a blue backpack containing 43 throwing knives.
The man was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station where a second oral fluid test allegedly returned a positive reading for cannabis.
The 39 year old was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for possess prohibited drug and possess knife in public place and he's due to appear in Tamworth Local Court today.
