The Currabubula Art Show will be back in action from May 27-30 at the local hall this year after COVID-19 restrictions forced its cancellation in 2020.
Publicity officer Sally Cronberger said because of this, organisers weren't expecting the event to be as big as usual.
"We have in the past had up to 600 paintings, but we'd be very grateful if we got 300 this year," she said.

Despite this, she said it was still "a good outing in the country".
"It's the biggest art show held outside the metro area, all the money that we raise from this art show goes to a Red Cross mental health program for people in rural areas so all the money stays in the rural area," Ms Cronberger said.
Painting coordinator Alitia Norman said entries were still open for artists wanting to show off their hard work.
There are five different sections open for entries: oil and acrylic; watercolour; any other medium; miniature and local artist within 100km of Currabubula.
They will be judged by Peter Champion, who paints with oil and acrylics and lives in Inverell.
"He paints mostly landscapes and seaside paintings," Ms Norman said.
"He has a history with Inverell teaching young artists and has earned success in many shows around the region and scooped up top prizes in art exhibitions."
Opening night on May 27 will run from 6pm-9pm for $20 per person, and all other days will cost $10 per person or $15 per couple for entry.
May 28 and 29 will see the doors of Currabubula hall open from 10am-5pm and on May 30 from 10am-4pm.
For more information, and to submit entries, visit the Currabubula Art Show website.
