Skipper Matt Holmes will play alongside younger brothers Sam and Tom, the latter holding his spot in the side after an impressive debut in their semi-final win over Cessnock's St Phillips Christian College.

They are one of three sets of siblings in the side, with Stuart Brissett joined by younger brother Doug and Will Aitken younger brother Tom.

For [Matt] Holmes the semi was a rare and special experience to play a game with his two brothers.

"I haven't done that before," he said.

"It was good seeing them do pretty well too."

Sam was their second top-scorer with 28 while Tom finished with two wickets as they defended 8-161.

The win made it all the more special, especially being his final year in the side.

He has been there since Year 7, and captain for the last couple.

Winning against The Riverina Anglican College tomorrow would be the perfect way to finish, but just making it as far as they have has been a great effort, he said.

They are a very young side with Jack Hamilton the only other player in Year 12.

He was their top-scorer in the semi-final, the opener falling just three short of his half-century. Will Aitken (20), Sam Holmes (28), Jock Smith (15) and Doug Brissett (15no) also made handy contributions to get them to what Holmes thought was a pretty good total.

He knew they had the attack to defend that.

The St Phillips batsmen though held the bowlers at bay early.

Enter Tom Holmes.

Called into the side, Holmes had no hesitation throwing the Year 7 student the ball at first change.

"I had full belief in him, I know he's been doing well in grade cricket and I know his potential," he said.

The move paid dividends with Tom striking with just his second delivery. He went on to pick up another wicket the first ball of his second over.

Matt did a similar thing himself snaring a wicket in his first two overs on his way to finishing with 3-10. Coming back on, opener Ryan Stewart (4-17) then cleaned up the tail as they dismissed the visitors for 143 for a 19 run win.
