Monica Margaret Joyce Sampson, 37, and Andrew Sampson, 40, both had their bids for bail rejected in Tamworth Local Court on Christmas Eve.
Police claim the pair stormed a Mills Street home in South Tamworth on December 15 about 3pm.
Inside, police allege they attacked a 39-year-old woman, bashing her and causing actual bodily harm (ABH).
Police were only alerted on Tuesday this week, they said, and launched an investigation.

They moved about 24 hours later. The Tamworth Proactive Crime Team (PCT), backed by Oxley police and dog squad, arrested the 40-year-old man at a unit on Susanne Street about 6pm on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old woman was arrested the same night at Tamworth police station.
In court on Thursday morning, Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) solicitor Gemma Ridley lodged a fresh bid for bail for Monica but it was denied by magistrate Julie Soars.
Monica is accused of aggravated robbery and inflict actual bodily harm (ABH); as well as aggravated commit serious indictable offence in dwelling in company - more than $60,000; and assault occasioning ABH.
Andrew faces allegations of aggravated commission of a serious indictable offence in a dwelling in company - more than $60,000; and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
Legal Aid solicitor Patricia Simpson applied for bail for Andrew but the application too was rejected.
Ms Soars found Andrew was an unacceptable risk of failing to appear at court; committing a serious indictable offence; and endangering the safety of victims or the community.
Ms Soars ordered the pair to remain in custody as police compile a brief of evidence with the cases to return to court in late-February.
The pair were not required to enter pleas to the charges.
Police said investigation are continuing.
