"The fire was well involved, there was a lot of smoke and the fire had gone through the roof at the back of the house," Inspector Nugent said.

The team confirmed the fire to be extinguished after midnight, and the scene was handed over to Oxley Police District officers in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police are investigating the fire.
