Police claim Tyler McMaster was wanted on an outstanding warrant when officers went knocking early in Robert Street on Monday morning.
The 21-year-old appeared in Tamworth Local Court on Monday on six separate matters.
The long list of charges included aggravated break-and-enter; six counts of possessing a restricted substance; stealing property in a house; trespassing; and damaging or destroying property. He did not enter pleas to the charges.

McMaster's bid for bail was denied by magistrate Mal MacPherson who ordered him into custody, where he will remain until he returns to court later this week.
Police confirmed McMaster's arrest comes amid Operation Southbreak - the blitz targeting property crime across Tamworth after recent break and enters.
Police allege goods were stolen from a home on Paton Street between 2pm on September 20 and 4.20pm the next day.
On Setpember 22, a break-in occurred at a home on Croydon Avenue where goods including phones were stolen.
The Oxley Proactive Crime Team have been investigating, and after a breakthrough, pounced on a 21-year-old at a home on Robert Street in Tamworth about 7.15am on Monday.
He was taken to Tamworth police station for questioning before he was charged and refused bail.
Police said investigations by Operation Southbreak were continuing.
