Gunnedah Community Action Team (GCAT) made up packs for local homeless people and those at risk of homelessness, with everything they needed to stay safe during the pandemic.
The packs included facemasks, hand sanitiser, tissues, service information and a 'how-to' on testing for COVID-19 in Gunnedah.
The packs were delivered to Homes North, Gunnedah Family Support, GoCo, Winanga-Li and Warranggal Dhiyan to then be distributed to those in need.

Flourish's Jess Donnelly said the idea for the packs came about because the ongoing pandemic meant the annual Homeless Connect event wasn't able to be held.
"We thought we would provide the support information so that people could access the support, but also give essential items they needed like facemasks," she said.
She said the service information included a poster about checking on neighbours "because we know a lot of people live alone and might be isolated during the pandemic".
The information on testing in Gunnedah was another important addition.
"We found that services were feeding back to us that that information was hard to track down and we didn't want people to not get tested because they didn't know where to go," Ms Donnelly said.
