New play equipment has been installed at Anzac Park in Tamworth, and it's just in the nick of time for school holidays.

The new-look playground includes a swing set, three person see-saw, in-ground trampoline, a small flying fox and a climbing structure.
Tamworth Regional Council Manager Sports and Recreation, Paul Kelly said the previous equipment was due for renewal as it was more than 10 years old.

"We are pleased that the installation has been completed around the start of school holidays," he said.
"The new equipment is best described as fun and challenging. We hope that regular playground users get the chance to explore the new equipment during their time off."
The renewal has been funded by the Tamworth Regional Council Sport and Recreation Asset Renewal fund to the sum of $60,000.
