A MAN and a woman have been nabbed, accused of both driving at more than four times the limit during the long weekend police blitz.

The woman caught the eye of police after she crashed her car into a paddock on Manilla Road at Red Hill, just out of Barraba.
The 44-year-old woman was driving along the road at 100km per hour and took her eyes off the road to allegedly answer her phone about 12.30am on Monday.
The woman lost control of the car, crashed through a fence and ploughed into a paddock where the vehicle crash and rolled.

Police were alerted and found the woman at the scene. She was breath tested and failed a roadside test.
She was later subjected to a breath analysis where she allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.212.
She will front court at a later date on an allegation of high-range PCA. Her licence has been immediately suspended.
A 47-year-old man was allegedly caught driving at 0.227 - more than four times the legal limit on Saturday night in Quirindi.
Police stopped the car about 9.50pm on Saturday in Henry Street due to the manner of driving.
The driver failed a roadside test and then allegedly recorded the reading back at the station.
He had his licence suspended and was charged with high-range PCA.
On Saturday night, a driver was nabbed speeding through the Willow Tree township.
Police clocked the white Ford sedan travelling at more than 30km per hour over the 50km posted speed limit.
The driver was handed a fine for exceeding the speed limit by more than 30km per hour and lost several demerit points.
Operation Stay Alert, which includes double demerits, is due to wrap up at midnight on Monday.
As part of the blitz, officers have been targeting speeding, drink and drug driving, driving while tired, using a mobile behind the wheel and helmet offences.
