Thieves hit the Power Street home after the man went to bed about 10pm on Saturday.
He woke at 6.45am on Sunday to find his front door unlocked and wide open.
The offenders made off with the man's keys, wallet and other property.

Officers were alerted and set up a crime scene at the villa. They're investigating if a key hidden outside the front of the property was used to gain entry.
Meanwhile, a woman has disturbed a man in her kitchen in North Tamworth.
The woman was inside her Cohen Street unit shortly after 5pm on Saturday when she heard a loud noise inside.
The woman went to investigate and found a man climbing through the window in the kitchen.
The woman screamed and the intruder fled.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance and was last seen wearing all black clothing, running from the Cohen Street single-story unit.
