Petbarn Tamworth 'fun day' to have games, prizes, activities for kids and their pets

Petbarn's 'Pet Fun Day' will run from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, March 14 at the Tamworth store.

A high tea will be set up for kids and their pooches, with dog treats on the menu.

There are games to be played like 'pin the bandana on Benji', and lolly bags to be won, store manager Haley Andrews said.

"We've got colouring in, animal hats, just some fun things for the kids to do," she said.

There'll also be some discounted services and pet food throughout the day.

Although the activities are targeted at kids and their pet dogs, Haley said people can bring along any pet for the fun day.

"Any pets are welcome," she said.

"Feel free to bring in cats, snakes, lizards, birds, whatever you'd like really," she said.

Ms Andrews said the store is expecting a busy weekend, and she has her "fingers crossed" the RSPCA dogs and cats staying at Petbarn will find homes.
