The Twenty20 final will now be played a week after the premiership decider. The former will be a night game at Kitchener Park on March 13.
Cameron Milne, a senior cricket committee member, said the competition was extended because it was sponsorship driven.

"If it were a club comp, you'd probably just go, 'Yeah, right, it happens [and not extend it],'" he said.
"But because you've got sponsors that have put out their money ... we thought it only fair to give them the best opportunity to get their dollars worth out of us."
Milne said the decision to extend the competition was reached at the Gunnedah District Cricket Association's monthly meeting in February.
Defending proved the winning formula on Friday night with the Imperial Hotel Tigers and McDonald's Chargers taking the points.
The Tigers roared to 4-131 in the opening game with Luke Ryan, Jono Crowe and Ben Middlebrook all making 30. They then dismissed the Sign Print Stitch Stars for 82, Adam McGuirk the top-scorer for the Stars with 35 as Brad Gander snared 3-14, and Ben Maher and Carter McIlveen two wickets apiece.
Blake Small then belted a half-century to lift the Chargers to 4-117, his 48-ball knock including three sixes and two fours. Hayden Baker also chipped in a valuable 20 from 11 at the end.
It proved decisive in the end with Ultrafleet/Mannion Drilling Bulls falling 10 short in reply. Darrin Cameron remained unbeaten on 36 after Jay Urquhart had hit 25 at first drop, Small backing up his efforts with the bat with 4-12 to restrict the Bulls to 8-107.
