A special lunch with family at the Nundle pub and an afternoon storm were presents enough for Phyl Bylund when she marked her 102nd birthday.

The Tamworth senior had a "quiet" celebration on January 24 with her sister Gwen, who turned 91 the same day, as well as a few other friends and family members.
"Nothing fussy - not like the 100 one we had," Miss Bylund said, referring to the surprise party thrown for her in 2018.
And as for gifts, she said they were not such a priority: "I think I've had enough now."
Miss Bylund said that, at 102, she was feeling pretty well apart from the effects of the heat this spring and summer.
"I don't like this weather we're having: it wears me down," she said.
"It's not only me - you speak to anybody and they're just worn out from it."

She said she filled her days keeping in touch with friends and family, some contributions to her favourite charities - St Andrew's Village and the hospital auxiliary, and trips to the shops.
The latter led to some fun just before Christmas, when she caught the community bus to do a grocery shop.
"The fellow doing the [Santa] photos came and said, 'Come on, come in'," she said.
"They took me down to Santa, and he said, 'Come and sit down, sit next to me' - then he said, 'No, sit on my knee'.
"They told me they'd had a lady there from the hospital with a little baby, then me - the whole range of ages."
And did she tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas?
"I just told him I hoped Santa would come to him."
Miss Bylund has also been enjoying the tennis this season.
"Years ago I used to go down to see it ... I used to go and see Agassi, the Swedish boys [Bjorn Borg and Stefan Edberg] and a few others," she said.
"Now I watch Ash Barty - she's done very well, although she missed out in the last thing - and the Spanish fellow [Rafael Nadal].
"And the people; it's amazing really, when you think about it, with all the sports - football, cricket and tennis - how many people turn up to watch ... masses of people attending."
Miss Bylund never married, instead rising through the ranks with the Postmaster General's Department, ending up as a regional supervisor, trainer and inspector.
She has also been a keen traveller and involved in community organisations including the CWA.
