It is pitched as a chance "for ladies from different cultural backgrounds to meet and enjoy afternoon tea in a relaxed setting".
Multicultural Tamworth founder Eddie Whitham said the event was conceived as means to get women living in town, who were born overseas, to meet and socialise.
He said it would highlight issues within the community they might have "been ignorant" to. "People from different cultures will have different ways of seeing things," he said.
"Some have come from dictatorships or kingdoms and they'll see things differently."
The Multicultural Tamworth ladies' afternoon tea will be held on Sunday, June 16 kicking off at 3pm at the C3 Church on Duri Road.
