The man was charged by police from the Oxley Target Action Group (TAG), after investigations into the theft of the $100,000 coupe on the weekend of April 18.
He's facing charges of being carried in the stolen Mercedes Benz, receiving or disposing of stolen goods, and stealing number plates for the car in Scone.
Police will allege he was a passenger in the stolen car when it left Tamworth for the Upper Hunter.
After investigations into the theft, the man was served with a future court attendance notice this week while in custody at a correctional centre.

Kimba Larvay also remains behind bars charged in connection to the car theft.
Police allege he was behind the wheel of the brand-new Mercedes that was taken from a holding yard in Dampier Street in Taminda.
The car, which is estimated to be worth $100,000, sparked a major police manhunt involving Oxley police, detectives, TAG, highway patrol and general duties officers, before investigators tracked it from Tamworth to Muswellbrook.
Police seized it, along with other goods, in a raid in Muswellbrook.
Larvay was arrested in the days that followed in Tamworth and has been in custody since.
In an appearance in Tamworth Local Court last week, Larvay pleaded not guilty to all four charges against him.
Magistrate Julie Soars ordered police compile a brief of evidence; Larvay will return to court again in June.
A police spokesperson said investigations were continuing and officers expected to lay further charges.
