Nerves are expected as women who have survived breast cancer take a step towards reconstruction.
It's not about making a decision but about having the information Reclaim Your Curves project coordinator Alison Madden said, and the workshop is coming to Tamworth.
"On the whole it makes a massive difference to both their emotional healing, but it restores their body physically and makes a big difference to confidence and how women feel in clothing," she said.
"We aren't pro-reconstruction, we're about informing women to make a choice.
"People might choose not to have it but it puts them in an emotionally better place because they didn't have a choice with cancer, we're about empowering women to make choices with their health professional."
The workshop in Tamworth will see both a local surgeon and a Sydney plastic surgeon talk about two different reconstruction options, one using implants and the other a person's own tissue.
Two local women will share their personal stories about breast reconstruction, followed by time for discussion and a session on emotional wellbeing.

A holistic approach can be helpful to women making the decision about reconstruction Ms Madden said.
"When they walk in they come in very cautiously, not sure if its the right place to come and at the end of the evening there’s chatter and laughter, women walk out ten feet taller it’s just amazing, they have information to now go on," she said.
"People who thought it was never an option for them find out it might be, or more confident to pursue different avenues - it’s a different group of people walking out."
The event is on Thursday from 5:30pm at Wests Tamworth and is free to attend, women can bring partners or friends for support.
