The reboot of the group came when residents realised a sense of community in the small town was slowly slipping away.
Plus, it was a good excuse to get off the farm and hopefully bring in some rain sheep and cattle farmer Lorraine Abra said.
Fire trucks, supper, snow cones, a sausage sizzle and entertainment are all on offer at the completely free event.
All crowds need to bring to the event is their own drinks.

Brain Foundation Christmas Fair
You can pick up a unique Christmas gift while supporting a good cause on Sunday, at the Northwest Brain Foundation’s annual Christmas fair.
You’ll also be supporting research into diseases of the brain.
Last year the fair raised money to support a dementia research project.
This year the money will go towards a major research project on migraine.
- The Fair is on Sunday November 18, at the Tamworth Racecourse from 9am til 3pm.
- $3 entry, kids under 12 are free.
Black Gully Festival – Armidale
The 2018 Black Gully Festival will be held between 10am and 10pm on 17 November in the parklands behind New England Regional Art Museum and adjacent to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place.
- The Creek Stage will showcase local acts from 10.20am.
- The front courtyard of NERAM will provide a stage for acoustic performers from 10.50am.
- ‘The Basement’ will showcase some talented younger performers from 2pm.

The event will be held on Saturday from 10am, starting at the Bicentennial Park stage.
Casey Barnes to play at Iron Cowboy PBR at AELEC
Playing at the Iron Cowboy Professional Bull Riders show in Tamworth this weekend, Barnes said he’s excited to share his latest music with crowds.
“It’s sort of like the Nitro Circus of bull riding, they know how to put on a good show,” he said.
