It is alleged the man was ejected from the venue by hotel staff at 5.45pm before attempting to re-enter the establishment.
After unsuccessfully trying to re-enter the premises, the man allegedly threw an object at the one of the hotel’s windows causing staff members and patrons to walk outside the building.
It’s then that police will allege the 24-year-old man punched a fellow 43-year-old patron causing him to fall onto the concrete hitting his head.
The 43-year-old man was then transported to Gunnedah hospital by ambulance for treatment of a large laceration and concussion.
The 24-year-old was later arrested by police at a Gunnedah property and charged with reckless wounding.
He was granted conditional bail and is set to appear in Gunnedah Local Court at a later date.
