About 9.30am Wednesday, firefighters from NSW Fire and Rescue and the Dungowan Rural Fire Service were called to reports of a large cotton seed shed alight at Mulla Creek, about 40km from Tamworth.
Officials said a tractor and seven tonnes of cotton seed housed in the shed were alight.
However quick action from residents brought the fire under control.
Firefighters used foam to put out the remainder of the fire from the seed and a tractor inside the shed.
NSW Fire and Rescue said it was “great team work from both services ensured no persons were injured and situation was quickly resolved.”
