Excursions
Our year six students travelled to Sydney for a week jam packed with wonderful activities.
They slept at Taronga Zoo, visited the New Endeavour at the Maritime Museum, went to the top of the Sydney Tower Eye, walked a lot and brought home many wonderful stories.
A big thankyou to Miss Byrnes, Mr Perkins, Ms Gee, Mrs Grady and Mrs Thompson who accompanied the children.
All arrived home safe and sound and very tired.
Year 5 spent three adventure packed days at Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation Centre.
The giant swing was a sure winner with students and teachers alike with kayaking and bridge building also featuring as highlights.
They too arrived home happy but very tired.
Disco
We held our Sock it to Poverty disco at school on Wednesday.
It was a wonderful way to raise awareness of our global neighbours and the plight of some of their people.
All funds raised will be sent to Catholic Mission to aid their life saving work in areas of need.
Our children are indeed very fortunate that we live in this wonderful country of opportunity.
Their awareness of this has been heightened through the week's religion lessons.
New arrivals
Kinder orientation days have begun this week.
We welcomed many new and excited faces to our school this week for the first of their orientation days.
While mums and dads shared a cuppa; they were all kept busy cutting, colouring and pasting with Mrs Bearman.
We look forward to having them visit again next week when we hope to be able to play with them on the playground.
