POLICE believe two warring families were behind a West Tamworth brawl at the weekend that involved 30 people armed with metal bars and a knife.

Oxley Local Area Command police were called to an address in Tingira St about2.30am on Sunday after reports up to 30 people had gathered in the street and were fighting.
Police issued move-on directions to the group and a taser was drawn on a woman holding a knife.
One person suffered minor injuries to their arm.
Police said their investigations into the incident are continuing and are asking any witnesses to come forward.
Charges are expected to be laid against a number of people over coming days.
