Originally part of the historic Wombramurra Station, The DAG retains the original woolshed, workers cottages, shearers’ quarters and mess hall.
Australia Day Country at The DAG is set to ignite when Col Finley and wife Nellie Donovan, who have joined forces to form one of Australia’s hottest new duos Diesel Town, hit the stage from 5pm. Col and Nellie will be joined by Rod Dowsett, the country music artist who tells it “as it is”, and special guest Mark Atkins, Australia’s renown didgeridoo player extraordinaire.
Bush poets Jack Drake and Neil McArthur also feature in the great line-up that will bring memories of the past and laughter to all and are guaranteed to leave you feeling Aussie pride.
The 12pm show has already sold out so the 5pm Australia Day show will be one of the hottest tickets at this festival and a great way to round off Country at the DAG, 2013.
Tickets are $40 and include a roast buffet meal and dessert, licensed bar, tabled seating, air conditioning and true country hospitality. Tickets available through Destination Tamworth online at www.visttamworth.com.au or phone The Dag on 6769 3486 for details.
Accommodation is available. Free camping to all ticket holders. See you at the DAG.
