Tamworth City Swimming Club will be able to purchase learn to swim equipment and training resources, thanks to a funding boost from Greater Bank's Community Funding Program.

The club, which is based at Tamworth Olympic Pool, took out the public vote and major prize of $3,000 for the March round of the funding program.
Tamworth City Swimming Club Vice President, Alban Bunnemeyer, said the club has a proud history and operates to promote water safety, encourages fitness, and delivers health benefits that can last a lifetime.
"The club has been part of the Tamworth community for 80 years and has a strong band of volunteers who work together to make the club great," Mr Bunnemeyer said.
"We are committed to provide an environment that develops and encourages a love for swimming regardless of age or ability."

Greater New England Regional Sales Manager, Will Boyd, said swimming is an ideal activity for people of all ages.
"Whether you're a young up and coming swimmer with dreams of representing Australia at the Olympics or you enjoy swimming for recreation or fitness, the benefits are many," Mr Boyd said.
The March runners up - Australian Air League Tamworth Squadron and Lake Keepit Family Fishing Club - will each receive $1,000.
Somerton Public School P&C (Tamworth), Gunnedah Motoring Enthusiasts and Container of Dreams (Armidale) are in the running for a share of $5,000 in April.
