The Cowboys have a number of outstanding young players who played first grade this year and they will make their mark next season, reckoned Luke Taylor.
Taylor has joined first-grade captain-coach Shaun Ferguson at the helm of the Cowboys, after being appointed co-coach at the club's recent annual general meeting.

"It's an exciting time," Taylor said.
Taylor, who is also a NSWRL development manager, has rekindled an old working relationship with Ferguson.
They teamed up at the North Tamworth Bears for a number of years, Taylor recalled.
"He coached the Bears in 2011 but we lost the grand final to Wests, he said.
"I retired and had 12 months off but the Tongue boys talked me into having a run out there (Dungowan).
"I coached them in 2013 and 2014 and we beat Kooty in the 2014 GF (second division grand final) when they were undefeated."
Taylor coached Dungowan again in 2015 and 2016 but a knee injury curtailed his playing days.
After coaching for four years he handed over the reins, only to tackle the league tag job and remaining in the role the last four years.
Now he's keen to reunite with Ferguson at the helm of the Cowboy's first-grade side.
"Looking forward to it. (I've) had a long history with Shaun," he said. "We've been best mates and he was in my wedding party."
