Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) is putting together a four-year plan to meet the public's needs, but first it wants to know exactly what is on the wish list.
It could be anything from the $67 million aquatic centre that was put on the back-burner through COVID-19, to a cultural arts precinct, more investment in attracting skilled workers, celebrating culture or strengthening the economy.
And, anything goes, TRC strategy and performance executive manager Jason Collins said.
"We will have a new council so we want fresh ideas and perspectives to continue on with things like Blueprint 100 and find out how the community wants us to adapt those," he said.
"I think the community is very aware that there's only so much money the council has available to it through our rates and other areas, so the important thing is for the new council to understand where those focus areas should be."
The council uses the information from the survey to put together its draft Community Strategic Plan, that sets the path forward to make Tamworth a great place to work, live, study and visit.
And, there's a number of ways the public can get involved - whether it's online, over the phone, or in face-to-face sessions.

The council's strategy and performance manager Anna Russell said she's excited to see what's most important to the community.
"The Community Strategic Plan is a plan for all of us, so we need your feedback on the long-term vision for the region, the plan reflects your values and therefore drives the delivery of projects to make the Tamworth region a place we all love to live", she said.
Anyone who completes the online survey goes into the draw to win one of ten $100 Stay Regional Shop Regional vouchers.
