AN AWKWARD split between Calala and South Tamworth has been avoided with a new boundary adjustment at Outlook Estate.
The residential estate is under construction, and would have been cut in half by the current boundaries which the council believes would have cause headaches for posties and emergency services.
Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) voted on Tuesday to fix the issue, and councillor Russell Webb said it made complete sense to do it.
"There's not much to say Mr Mayor except that it makes complete and absolute sense to do this and it's good we've had the ability to get this up and running before there's too much more development out there," he said.
The new lots in the estate will now be contained within Calala to ensure emergency services, Australia Post and delivery services can access properties easily.
