Daniel Lee Connors has been behind bars since his arrest in March, but appeared in Tamworth Local Court via video link this week when his defence solicitor made a fresh bid for his release.
Lawyer Garry Johnston told the court that "aside from the delay" in dealing with the matters, Connors' circumstances had changed.
Mr Johnston said Connors had "some very unique skills" and had the ability to work from home for a company which made props for movies.
He said he had an "interesting letter" from the company confirming work for Connors.

Mr Johnston also told the court a friend of the accused had offered $1500 for his bail.
Connors was arrested along with three co-accused after $143,000 worth of the drug ice and a $70,000 cash stash was allegedly seized from a van parked on Aberdeen Street in Tamworth on March 22.
"There is no drugs found on Mr Connors, there is no cash found on Mr Connors," Mr Johnston said.
Police prosecutor Sergeant John Baillie said he had concerns about Connors committing further serious offences if he was released from custody.
Mr Johnston offered strict bail conditions including to live with his mother in Inverell, to report to police regularly, stay off alcohol and illegal drugs, stay out of Tamworth, and have no contact with his co-accused.
"He's been clean in custody Your Honour, and he wants to stay that way," Mr Johnston said.
Sergeant Baillie agreed that the bail conditions offered were strict and mitigated the risks he had been concerned about.
Magistrate Julie Soars granted bail, but with a strict warning for the accused.
"Sir, you are at extreme risk of bail being revoked if there are any further issues," she said.
"Thank you for that Your Honour," he replied.
He's been clean in custody Your Honour, and he wants to stay that way.

Connors' co-accused Trica Tresa Fletcher, Ali Goulzari Anvar and Abdul Wasim Kherhhah were excused from appearing in Tamworth Local Court when their matters were called this week.
The court heard the briefs of evidence in the cases of all four co-accused had been finalised by police.
The matters were adjourned to August, when prosecutors are expected to confirm which charges they will proceed with against the co-accused.
Anvar is the only one of the group still behind bars and he made no application for bail.
The four were arrested after police said the Oxley Proactive Crime Team spotted a Toyota Tarago parked with the motor running and no-one in the driver's seat, while patrolling for break-ins, about 11:30pm on March 22.
Police claim they spoke with Anvar, Connors and Kherhhah and searched the car, where it's alleged $71,000 in cash, as well as 143g of methylamphetamine, or the drug ice, was uncovered.
The three men were each charged with dealing with suspected proceeds of crime; taking part in the supply of drugs; and participating in a criminal group.
Fletcher was the alleged driver of the Tarago and she was charged with dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime.
