The Oxley Proactive Crime Team (PCT) were patrolling for break-in offences when they spotted a Toyota Tarago with its headlights on and the motor running.
The car was parked in Aberdeen Street, near Gunnedah Road, about 11.30pm, but there was no one in the driver's seat.
The car caught the attention of police, who stopped and spoke with Anvar, Connors and Kherhhah inside.
Police then said they had cause to search the Tarago, and inside it, they allege they uncovered $71,000 in cash, as well as 143g of what they said is methylamphetamine, or ice.
Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy told the Leader the drugs discovered have an estimated potential street value of $143,000.
"This seizure is testament to the dedication of our proactive police who are out there, around the clock," he said.
"That is a significant quantity of drugs off the street now as a result of this proactive patrol.
"The dogged work of the proactive crime team, our general duties police and the forensic officers has seen two significant arrests this week for major break-in offences, and we've identified further offenders who will be arrested in the coming days."
The trio inside were arrested, along with Fletcher, who police will allege was the driver of the car, when she returned to the vehicle.
Anvar, Connors and Kherhhah are each charged with dealing with the property that is the suspected proceeds of crime; taking part in the supply of drugs; and participating in a criminal group.
Fletcher faces one allegation of dealing with the suspected proceeds of crime.
Magistrate Julie Soars ordered the trio remain in custody as police build the brief of evidence against them.
They were not required to enter pleas to the allegations, which have been adjourned to late May.
As part of Fletcher's bail, she will have to live in Inverell under a night curfew and not leave the house between 8pm and 7am.
She will need to report to local police three times-a-week; is prohibited from contacting those named in court documents, or any prosecution witness; has been referred to a support service for assessment; must not commit any offences; and is barred from entering Tamworth unless for court.
