Senior Constable Christopher Kentwell was called by the Crown to give evidence on the fifth day of Jesse Leigh Green's special hearing in the NSW Supreme Court.
Green is accused of murdering 22-year-old Ms Luckwell in the early hours of March 28, 2018, inside her Robert Street home. Some details of the case cannot be reported for legal reasons.
The court heard Senior Constable Kentwell arrived at Ms Luckwell's Tamworth unit the morning after her body was discovered by neighbours.

A video taken in the days after the alleged murder was played for the court, as crime scene investigators walked around the outside of the unit and entered the home, filming as they walked through.
Crown prosecutor Brian Costello combed through crime scene photos with the witness, as well as fingerprint and other forensic evidence taken from the unit.
Senior Constable Kentwell will be called back to the witness box on Monday, but Mr Costello indicated it marked the end of the "relevant crime scene evidence" taken from the Robert Street flat.
Locksmith Steven Kelly was also called as a Crown witness on Friday, to give evidence about the state of the lock and doorframe on Ms Luckwell's home after her murder.
The court heard he had been asked by police to examine photos as part of their investigation.
The special hearing will continue on Monday.
Green is facing the murder charge as well as break and enter; and using an offensive weapon.
