The Bob Milligan-trained gelding edged out Lou Mary's Southern Cloud in the Thrifty Car Rental Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m) on Tuesday.
It gave Being Naughty - ridden by Dylan Gibbons - his second win to go along with three placings from six starts this preparation.
Milligan's son Glen was at Tamworth on Tuesday and said Being Naughty enjoyed the change of scenery from their Taree base.

"He's been going around on real heavy tracks at home and we came over here looking for a bit firmer going," Milligan said.
Milligan said the stable will wait to see how Being Naughty pulls up before deciding where to race the three-year-old next.
The Grafton Guineas is an option in the near future but further down the track, there is one race the Milligans were eyeing off.
"He goes pretty good the horse. We've got a bit of an opinion of him. We're hoping he can get to the [Country] championships next year," Milligan said of Being Naughty.
Cody Morgan scored a win for the locals on Tuesday when Trumped Up broke through in the Dutton Electrical Maiden Handicap (1200m) earlier in the day.
The gelding hadn't finished worse than fourth in his last five starts including four placings.
On Tuesday, Trumped Up won by 0.11 lengths over the Rodney Northam-trained Mr Whitacre.
