POLICE have confirmed the coroner will investigate the death of a young child after a motorbike accident on the weekend.

The boy died in hospital after suffering critical injuries in the crash on a property out of Deepwater on Sunday afternoon.
Ambulance NSW confirmed seven crews including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were deployed to the scene just before 2pm.
It came after reports of two motorbikes involved in an accident on a property near Ten Mile Road and the New England Highway.

Paramedics treated the young boy at the scene for critical injuries.
He was flown by the Westpac helicopter to Queensland Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
On Monday, New England police confirmed the young boy had died from his injuries overnight.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are continuing and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.
